An international DJ and event organizer with over 20 years of experience, Yoshi Kanou is based in Tokyo but regularly performs across Europe and Asia, having played in over 30 cities across 20+ countries worldwide.

Known for his unique techno style, shaped by years in Berlin’s underground scene, he is one of the few Japanese DJs to have performed at the iconic techno sanctuary Club Tresor in Berlin.

In 2008, he made his overseas debut in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and has since conducted annual European tours, playing in Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Malta, and more.

From 2012, his reach expanded into Asia, with successful gigs at Full Moon Parties in Thailand, the underground scenes of Goa, India, and club events in South Korea, Malaysia, and China. In 2019, he took to the stage at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), and in 2023, he completed his first South Africa tour, captivating audiences with his deep, emotional, and story-driven sets.

In 2023, Yoshi founded GIA VALANCE JP, focusing not only on his own career but also on discovering and nurturing talented DJs and artists with global potential.

As an event organizer, he has been instrumental in creating some of Tokyo’s most memorable parties, including BLOOM(Shibuya CLUB WOMB), RHYTHM & SUGAR (Aoyama Hachi), GROOVE+ (Shibuya CLUB OR TOKYO), and the church-themed CANDELA OF MUSIC at Dogenzaka. His lounge party WIT (Shibuya SOUND BAR HOWL) is also highly regarded for its sophisticated atmosphere and meticulous attention to detail.
